William J. Wheatley Sr
Age 75 of Wilmington
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 7, 2019.
Bill was born on April 3rd, 1944 to the late Wilbur and Elizabeth Wheatley.
He loved spending time with his family and friends, going camping, taking cruises, trying his luck at casinos, doing coin tricks, and most of all making people laugh.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Mahoney, and his aunt, Mary Krakowski.
Bill will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Kathleen; son, William Jr.; daughter, Theresa Vassallo (Michael); five grandchildren, Michael Vassallo, Gina Vassallo, Justin Wheatley, Tyler Wheatley, and Ryann Wheatley, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, Dec 14 at Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Rd., Wilm, DE 19810 at 11:00am. Friends may call at the church from 9:30am-11:00. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made in Bill's name to Faithful Friends, 12 Germay Drive, Wilm., DE 19804, or St. Jude's Children Research, stjude.org.
