Yvonne L. (Nesspor) Gallagher

Passed away peacefully at her home on May 1, 2011 surrounded by her loving family.
Yvonne was born and raised in New Castle, DE to the late Peter Nesspor and Reba Walling-Nesspor. She was married to the late Joseph E. Gallagher Sr. on April 23, 1960. Yvonne was a fulltime caregiver to her 6 children as well a volunteer at Family court in Wilmington, DE. One of her favorite past times was spending time with her family at the Delaware beaches.

Yvonne is survived by her 6 children - Colleen Dudlek and her husband Joseph, Joanne Phillips and her husband Danny, Mary (Peggy) Lilly and her husband Jeff, Patricia Osborne and her husband Brad, Joseph E. Gallagher Jr. and his wife Julie, and Jason Gallagher and his girlfriend Bonnie, 15 Grandchildren, and 4 great Grandchildren and her Brother Ronald Nesspor. Yvonne will be dearly missed by those who were fortunate enough to have known and loved her.

The family would like to say a special thank you for the support and care given to Yvonne that was provided by Dr. William Funk and staff, Dr. Pamela Simpson and staff, The Helen F. Graham Cancer Center, Marybeth Oliver and Courtney Posterman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service being held at St. Peter's R. C. Church, 5th & Harmony Sts., New Castle, on Thursday, May 5th at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the church Thursday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment in adjoining cemetery.
