Zeev Yu Shao was born on February 26th, 1991, and called by the Lord on January 12th, 2026 at the age of 34.
Zeev was born in Fuzhou in the province of Fujian, China. He was the youngest child of the family; he has one older sister, An.
In 2003, Zeev immigrated to the United States of America with his family. He attended middle school in Brooklyn, NY, and high school in Philadelphia, PA.
Zeev received his associate degree from the Community College of Philadelphia. Then he joined the United States Army, starting as a Specialist.
In 2022, Zeev went to Kuwait for a nine-month tour. He was then promoted to sergeant soon after. While Zeev served his duties with the army, he also worked full time at Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA).
In addition to his service and full-time employment, Zeev took on another challenge by going to the police academy. In December 2023, Zeev graduated from the police academy and started a new role as a SEPTA transit police officer. He also joined the Special Counter Drug Joint Task Force.
Zeev dedicated his life to his country, family, and fighting crime. Zeev was a committed Christian, a loving and devoted son, and took care of his parents to the best of his ability. He was a caring brother; Zeev and his sister An shared a lot of childhood memories together. They loved the same books, TV shows, jokes and movies. Zeev had a broad taste in music regarding the languages of lyrics. He also liked to read encyclopedias, was very knowledgeable on politics, economics, fun facts on animal kingdom, and trivia facts.
Zeev was a loving uncle to his nephew Elbert, they went to the Counter Drug Task Force seminar together and to the shooting range together as well as having helped Elbert with parallel parking.
Zeev leaves behind his mother, Meiying, and father, Baoguan. He also left his sister An, her husband Danny, and their son Elbert. He will forever be remembered by his loved ones.
