Christina Ann “Chrissy” Clayton, age 38, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 10th, 2018.
Anyone who knew Chrissy knows she had a zest for life that was unrivaled by pretty much anyone. She loved going to the beach, had a keen eye for photography, and attended more concerts annually than should be humanly possible. All that, however, paled in comparison to her love for her two sons.
Chrissy was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joe Freebery Sr. and Theresa S. (Freebery) Hopkins as well as her paternal grandfather, Albert L. Clayton Jr.
She is survived by her parents, Tom and Sue Clayton; her two sons, Damon Clayton and Aiden Magee, and her brother, Tom Clayton Jr. along with his wife, Rebecca Fedora Clayton; and their daughter Delaney Clayton. Being from Old New Castle as well as being of Clayton and Freebery descent, her family, of course, does not stop there: she is also survived by Lois Clayton, Bob McCullough, Carol Foster, Bert Littleton, Marty and Tracy Molloy and family, Joe Freebery Jr. and family, Tommy and Kathy Freebery and family, Dave and Kelly Freebery and family, Theresa and Anthony Collurafici and family, Paul and Debbie Freebery and family, Joanne and Jay Thawley and family, and Joyce and Steve Simpson and family.
Friends and family can come celebrate Chrissy’s unique spirit from 11AM – 1PM on Saturday August 18th at Krienen Funeral Home, located at 34 West 6th Street, New Castle, DE 19720. Service will follow at 1PM.
