Douglas James Griffith, Sr.
Age 66, passed away at home on Saturday, September 1, 2018.
Doug was the son of the late Donald and Marie Griffith and was raised in Elsmere. He was 1970 graduate of Conrad High School and served in the U.S. Army Reserve for six years. He worked at Wilmington Chemical as a chemical operator for 20 years. He retired from Veolia Water North America after working as a Supervisor for 20 years. Doug enjoyed the Delaware beaches, surf fishing, horse racing, and skiing.
In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald and Gerald Griffith. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ann Fuqua Griffith; his son, Douglas and his wife, Jessica; his daughter, Maryellen; his grandson, Casey Griffith; his sister, Lynn (James) Fuqua; his brothers, David (Audrey), Daniel (Kathy), and James (Peggy); his sister-in-law, Ann (Colicchio) Griffith; and many nieces and nephews.
Services and burial will be private.
