Robert J Beach, age 82, passed away peacefully on 9/9/17 at Seasons Hospice.

Robert "Bob" was born in 1935 to Robert and Charlotte Beach, of Dover New Jersey. He graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic High School, then went on to graduate from the University of Maryland in 1954 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was a record holding swimmer in high school and college and was an avid sailor, often competing in racing regattas.

Bob married the love of his life, Marikka, in 1973 and had three children. He owned a small metal stamping and fabrication business and stayed active in several local organizations, including Ducks Unlimited. Bob's love for being on the water often found him boating on the Chesapeake Bay with friends and family.

In his later years, Bob lived a quiet life surrounded by his loved ones. He truly enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren grow.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Joan Beach Oates and her daughter, Andrea Olsen.
He is survived by his wife, Marikka of Newark, DE; son, Alex and wife Shana, of Silver Spring MD; son, Frederick of Bear DE, daughter, Andrea and husband Matthew Calvarese, of New Castle, DE; his grandchildren, Gabriella, Samson and Olivia, whom he adored; nieces and nephews, Karin Campia, Michelle Olsen, Rod Olsen and wife Deb and Garat Oates, all of Florida.

Services will be private.
