Obituary for Helen Daniels

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2015.
Helen was born to the late Pietro and Marie (Piccioni) Camelo on January 16, 1923.
She married the love of her life Ellsworth Daniels. Together they lived and raised their children in New Castle.
Helen was a talented homemaker, she devoted her life to caring for her family. Helen was most at home in the kitchen, cooking big Italian Sunday dinners for the whole family. She was always a loving and supportive mother and above all else a truly gentle soul.
She was a dedicated parishioner of Holy Spirit R.C. Church. Helen was a longtime member of The Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality. She also spent her time volunteering for the school lunch program, hosting Bingo, and donating her time at the carnival.
Helen is preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Ellsworth, and a granddaughter.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Dennis Daniels (April), Marie Reed (E.W.) and Ellsworth Daniels Jr., (Elaine); her sister-in-law, Betty Camelli; her grandchildren, D.J. Daniels (Donna), Lisa Stewart, Kimberly Hyland (Ed), Christopher Daniels; her 7 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. Helen is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit R.C. Church, 12 Winder Rd, New Castle, DE 19720, on Fri, Oct 30, at 11:00am. Friends may call at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 34 W. 6th St., New Castle, DE 19720, on Thurs, Oct 29 from 6:00-8:00pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions be made to Holy Spirit R.C. Church.
