After a short illness, Ms. Lord passed away peacefully from this life to eternal life on Wednesday, December 16, 2015. She was under hospice care at her home in Elsmere, where she had resided since 1958.

Ms. Lord was known all her life as a caregiver. She was a foster mother to more than 30 children, a nurse at the Veterans Hospital, and an assisted living worker. She was there for whomever asked for help. She was a long time active member at Immanuel Church, an avid reader, and loved to travel, especially to Alaska and Hawaii.

She is survived by her children, Joyce Moscoso, Thomas Baumgarten (Lydia), David Baumgarten (Joyce), Kenneth Swiderski (Sharon), and Cheryl Josephson; and her brothers, William and Charles (Lynn). She was the proud grandmother of 17 and great-grandmom of 19.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Service on Tuesday, December 22, at 1:00 pm at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Highway, Elsmere. A viewing will take place at the funeral home from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
