Obituary for Jean L Pentz (Picklo)

Jean L Pentz (Picklo)
Jean L. Pentz
Age 80 of Wilmington
Passed away peacefully Monday, December 12, 2016, at Christiana Hospital with her son by her side.
A Wilmington resident for over 50 years, Jean never forgot her Johnstown, PA, roots. If she found out you were from Pennsylvania, you could be guaranteed a healthy conversation. Jean worked for Delaware Trust for over 25 years and always enjoyed running into her customers and spending time with her friends from the bank. Jean’s life centered around her husband and son, her friends, her pets and keeping a Polish house. Jean was a long time and active member of Corpus Christi R.C.C. in Elsmere. Jean enjoyed traveling, trying new recipes on her family, reading the latest best selling novel, but most of all people. Whether it was meeting with the Lunch Bunch, spending time on the phone with her lifelong friend, or her annual Mother/Son trips to Yellowstone National Park, Jean always had a kind word to say and was ready to stop and talk to anyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Henry Pentz, and her brother, John Picklo, Jr. Jean is survived by her son, Robert Pentz; brother-in-law, Edward Pentz; sisters-in-law, Theresa Weimer and her husband, William, and Alice Beam and her husband, Ronald; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staffs at Christiana Hospital, Fresenius Kidney Care and Regal Heights Nursing Home for their care and compassion.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 901 New Rd., Elsmere, DE 19805, on Friday, December 16 at 11:00am. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 am - 10:30 am. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request contributions to be made in memory of Jean to Corpus Christi R.C.C, 901 New Road, Elsmere, or Fresenius Kidney Card, 4923 Ogletown-Stanton Road, Suite 200, Newark, DE 19713.
