Cornelius Patrick Lehane, Jr.
Age 57 of Newark
Passed away peacefully on July 8, 2016.
Con was born to Cornelius and Susan (Darden) Lehane on May 20, 1959.
Con faithfully served his country for 6 years in the Marine Corps, however he was a Marine for life, Oorah!
Con loved working on cars and was an expert mechanic. He enjoyed working for his cousin, Jerry, at Leahy’s Auto Body Shop.
Con was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cornelius and Catherine Lehane, and Albert and Helen Darden; his sister, Susan Kegelman; nephew, James Glunt; and Aunt, Joan Leahy.
He will be dearly missed by his parents; his sisters, Karen Calahan (Hugh), Ellen Bleacher (Bob), Joan Glunt (Keith), and Nancy Furlong (Tom); his 13 nieces and nephews; and 3 great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Matthew R.C. Church, 901 E. Newport Pike, Wilm., DE 19804, on Wed, July 13 at 11:00 am. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:00-11:00am. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made to the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, PO Box 555193, Camp Pendelton, CA 92055.
