1926 – 2010
Age 83, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at the Wilmington Hospital.
Ellie was a loving and devoted homemaker and also worked at the DuPont Experimental Station as a secretary for many years.
She was a member of St. Matthew’s R. C. Church.
One of Ellie’s joys was spending time at her vacation home in Lewes and having her family with her at the Delaware Beaches.
Ellie was the daughter of the late James F. and Mary (Flynn) Curren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 15 years, Edward F. Martin; her second husband, Edward M. Campbell; and her son, David J. “Beech” Martin. She is survived by her children, Michael F. Martin and his wife Liz of Wilmington, Anne Marie Katrowski and her husband Tony of Wilmington, Mary Beth Ledoschuk and her husband Doug of Wilmington, and James F. Martin and his wife Joan of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 11 stepchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Matthew’s R. C. Church, 901 East Newport Pike, Wilmington, on Monday morning, July 12, 2010 at 10 a.m. Friends may call at the Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere on Sunday afternoon, July 11th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Interment in Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington.
