Age 90 passed away on Thursday, June 28th, 2018.

Harry was born on September 30th, 1927 in Wilmington, DE to the late Harry and Ada Albers. He graduated from Henry C. Conrad High School in Wilmington, DE and served in the US Navy from 1945 to 1947. He went on to work as an electrician with Furness Electric retiring in 1989 after 43 years of service and was a member of IBEW Local 313.

He was a member of the Mid-County Senior Center where he enjoyed playing cards with his lady friends. He also loved to cruise. In his lifetime, he cruised 27 times to places like Bermuda, Aruba, and the Caribbean, taking his last cruise at age 85. Harry was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan and loved to critique the games with his daughter.

Harry is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Albers; and his sisters, Lillian (Till) Furness, and Jean Albers. He is survived by his daughter, Barbie Fitzsimmons (Teddy) of Wilmington, DE; his son, Billy Albers of Smyrna, DE; his stepson, Francis Mele of Rehoboth Beach, DE; his granddaughter, Kate Fitzsimmons and great-granddaughter, Aubree Fitzsimmons.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Service on Tuesday, July 3 at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home 1400 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19805 at 11:00 am. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11 am. Interment will follow the Service at Silverbrook Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mid-County Senior Center, 1st Regiment Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808
