Henry L. Dzielak, Sr.
Age 88, died December 23, 2013.
Henry was a WWII Veteran, served in the 5th Marine Division in Iwo Jima. He was a government employee and spent his career as an Asst. Fire Chief of the Philadelphia Navy Yard. He enjoyed spending time at Delaware Park, and was an avid dog lover.
Henry was preceded in death by his wife, Otylia “Tillie” (Kozikowski) Dzielak; his son, Henry L. Dzielak, Jr.; and his step-daughter, Elsie Hoopes. He is survived by his sons, Donald and wife Mary Pat, and Joseph and his wife DeDeof Bear; his grandchildren, Henry III and his wife Lauren of Bear, Thomas and wife Stacey of New Castle, Kennilynn Koveleski and husband Victor of Middletown, and Rob Hinton and wife Sherry of Middletown, Stephanie, and Michael; his great grandchildren, Matt, Eric, Niki, Jaclyn, Henry IV, and Colin; his great great granddaughter, Ellie; his brother, Edwin Dzielak and wife Betty of Bear and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 6 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-6 pm Friday evening. Interment is private.
