Obituary for Joseph M. Callahan

Joseph M. Callahan

Age 49, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, January 13, 2011.

Joe worked for 25 years as a shipping supervisor with Rodel. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Thomas the Apostle Council #12374. He coached soccer at St. Thomas School. Joe was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoyed fishing, softball, bike riding, and the beach. His true love was spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughters, Kristin N. Callahan and Emily N. Callahan; his mother, Naomi Callahan; his brothers and sisters, Margaret C. Neville, and her husband, Joseph, Catherine Prevenas, Edward Callahan Jr., and his wife, Evelyn, Elaine T. Dunlap, Thomas P. Callahan, and his wife, Marie, Marty Callahan, and his wife, Theri; and nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death his father, Edward J. Callahan Sr., and his sister, Mary Jones.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church on Tues., January 18, at 11 am. Relatives and friends may call at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere, on Mon., January 17, from 6-8 pm. Interment will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
