Obituary

Norman Kendall Griffith, age 71, known to his friends and family as Ken, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 3rd.

Ken was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Charles Norman Griffith and his wife Callie Lee (nee Belt).
Ken relocated in 1976 to Wilmington, Delaware from Columbus, Ohio where he worked as a direct salesman for Bird’s Eye Frozen Food, Playtex and finally General Housewares Corporation. A few years later, in 1980, he formed his company Ral-Seth Associates, a manufacturer’s representative and an import-export company. For almost 39 years, until shortly before his death, Ken managed Ral-Seth Associates. Ral-Seth Associates grew from supporting domestic manufacturers into an international manufacturer’s representative business. He loved to travel and work often took him to faraway places like China and New Zealand. He was very proud of the company he built and the work done by the people he employed.

He leaves to mourn his passing, Denise (nee Baxter) his wife of 34 years, sons, Raleigh Kendall Griffith (Karen Klauss) of Falls Church City, Virginia and their two children Charles and Kendall, Chris “Herman” Carter of Pensacola, Florida, Seth Vaughn Griffith (Kristine nee Lingle) and their two children Vaughn and Morgan of Las Vegas, Nevada and Cameron Baxter Griffith of Washington, D.C. He will also be mourned by his brother Maurice Griffith of Atlanta, Georgia and many dear aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Ken on Saturday, October 26 at 12 noon at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy. Wilmington, DE 19805. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11-12. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations to be made in Ken's name to The Washington School for Girls, 1901 Mississippi Ave., SE Washington, DC 20020, 202-678-1113.

Helen Keller said "the most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart". Ken, my brother, my kind friend, my funny ray of sunshine, my extraordinary business mentor, my example of strength, you will always have an extra special place in my heart. Rest in everlasting peace.

With LOVE,
Judy Kennedy
