Mary A. Colicchio

Mary A. Colicchio, of Elsmere, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, with her loving family by her side. A woman of deep faith, Mary was a devoted parishioner and a member of the Corpus Christi Cenacle Prayer Group and a loyal weekly adorer at St. Ann’s Perpetual Adoration Chapel. Her pilgrimages to such places as Medjugorje, Rome, St. Anne DeBeaupre and the Holy Land were a source of great joy to her. Before starting her family, Mary worked as a secretary for the DuPont Company.
Mary was preceded by her husband, Angelo in 1986. She is survived by her daughters, Joan Dennison, Angela Demanczyk and her husband John, Ann Griffith and her husband Gerry; her sons, Michael Colicchio, Nicholas Colicchio and his fiancée Patty MacDonald, John Colicchio and his wife Maria. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 901 New Rd., Elsmere on Saturday, May 2nd at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, Mass cards will be greatly appreciated and may be sent to Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19805.
